Can I use the OpenPLZ API free of charge?
Yes, the OpenPLZ API project is open data, its use is free of charge and also permitted in commercial projects. All data comes from public sources and is documented here. The processed data is licensed under the ODC Open Database Licence (ODbL).
Where is the OpenPLZ API hosted?
The OpenPLZ API web service runs on a Linux server operated by the German internet service provider STRATO. The data centre is located in Germany.
Where does the data come from?
All data from the OpenPLZ API project comes from public sources and is documented here. The processed data is available under the ODC Open Database Licence (ODbL).
How often is the data updated?
The data of the OpenPLZ API project is updated regularly. We are currently aiming for quarterly updates. The current status of the data is always documented in the change log.
